Box vans allow the operator to gain a larger load volume and payload than is possible with a standard panel van. You will usually find a box van fitted with a tail lift to ease loading of bulky and heavier items and fitted with a roller shutter at the rear. Most boxes for a standard 3.5 tonne van will be between 10 and 14 feet in length and can go as high as needed. Remember though, the higher the box on the van, the greater the fuel consumption. You may need to fit an aerodynamic device to the roof of the cab to help MPG or buy a Luton van instead.
