About Trafic

Renault Trafic Set-ups

The backbone of the Trafic range is the panel van, which can be configured to offer a load volume of between 5.2 cubic metres and 8.3 cubic metres, giving drivers a lot of space to work with, whether the vehicle will be used to distribute cargo or transport equipment.

The full-height steel bulkhead features a hatch that can be opened up to accommodate particularly long loads. And with eyelets integrated at strategic points, heavy items can be lashed in place to avoid unnecessary movement during transit.

The crew cab version of the Trafic increases the number of seats from three to six, adding a second row for additional passengers and still providing a good-sized load space separated by a bulkhead.

The Trafic Passenger is the minibus version of the van, coming with nine seats that can be adjusted and arranged depending on the day-to-day needs of the driver. And finally, the platform cab comes with a chassis that lets a range of custom bodies join with the solid Trafic underpinnings.

Renault Trafic Features

The current-generation Trafic van comes with a host of safety features. These include the traction-increasing GripXtend system, as well as hill-start assist and the trailer swing assist, the latter of which is a big help when providing stability whilst the van is carrying out towing duties.

Cruise control and speed limiter functions are on offer, as are a number of airbag set-ups which vary depending on the model being considered. Buyers can even specify a system that persistently monitors tyre pressures and provides alerts when they drop too low so that action can be taken.

With up to 90 litres of storage space in the cab, keeping tools, documents, devices and personal effects in check while the van is in motion is very easy. And higher-end models come with the Media Nav infotainment system that is both Bluetooth-compatible and endowed with GPS mapping to make getting lost a thing of the past.

Laptop docking and clipboard mounting are also a possibility in the Trafic’s cab, which makes it an office on wheels as well as a reliable van in the traditional sense.

Renault Trafic Performance

The latest dCi-powered panel vans in the Trafic range can get over 47 miles to the gallon on a combined cycle, thanks to the use of engine stop-start technology. And the Passenger model pushes this closer to a full 50mpg, with Renault deploying its engineering knowledge honed in the world of motor-sport to achieve these efficiency improvements.

The long-standing legacy of the Trafic van family is maintained and built upon by the latest models. And there are a multitude of used Renault vans for sale which share many of the same features and benefits.
